Car hire and cancelled trips

With everything that’s going on in the world at the moment, we know that you might be a bit cautious booking a getaway and hire car. We want to help give you the confidence to book and start planning a well needed break, so we’re going to talk you through our hiring and cancelling policy.

Booking your hire

You might be a little nervous about getting on public transport right now, so booking a private hire vehicle should take away some of your anxieties.

Booking a hire car, van or minibus with us is simple. You can do it over the phone or online using our booking form. We’ll easily be able to get you booked into the best vehicle for your trip and help take away some of the stress of travel.

For advanced hires, we do ask for a £50 deposit to secure the vehicle (up to £100 for minibuses and Luton box vans). But, that’s then £50 you don’t have to pay when your holiday date comes around, which is a bonus! Full payment will then be taken prior to your hire period.

Cancellation policy

Meashams has a cancellation policy in place just in case your hire can’t go ahead. Provided that you let us know more than 72 hours ahead of your planned vehicle collection, you won’t have anything to worry about.

If your plans change at short notice, please do let us know as soon as you can. If it’s within the 72 hours of your planned hire, you can still cancel. If the vehicle is then re-booked by someone else in that time, you won’t be charged. However, if it’s not snapped up by another traveller, we will ask that you honour your agreement with us.
